Our History
Vale Mercê’s journey begins with José Manuel Correia , who, since the 1990s, has dedicated himself to producing grapes for some of the most renowned Vinho Verde wineries.
In 2022 , this ambition materialized with the founding of Vale Mercê Wines , a project born from the union of tradition and a contemporary approach to viticulture. Based on quality, sustainability, and respect for nature, Vale Mercê establishes itself as a brand that seeks to value authenticity, create wines with their own identity, and take this expression beyond borders.
As can be seen on this map, Resende is located in the southeasternmost part of the region. This geographical position, combined with its distance from the coast and the presence of natural barriers, favors a microclimate with a greater continental influence. Under these conditions, there are warmer days and cooler nights, factors that contribute to a more balanced ripening of the grapes. Simultaneously, a well-defined acidity is preserved, resulting in wines with high freshness and an elegance characteristic of this region.
